Here is the process edition of the scout picture since I had some mail curious about how I work! This type of simple piece is finished in around 2 hours or so in Photoshop.
I do a very quick blue line sketch up, then proceed to sketch Scout in black on a new layer. I put in B&W shadows to get a better sense of what the end picture will look like. I block in colours underneath the sketch then proceed to paint middle tones first, then highlights. Near the end I fill a BG, merge all layers and then paint on top. That’s it! My process really varies on the type of painting/style, but this is how I do a single, non-realistic character doodle in Photoshop. :)
